About The Role

Join ThredUp, a leading online consignment and thrift store, as a Product Designer. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to develop innovative products and services that align with ThredUp's mission of promoting secondhand fashion. You will conduct user research, prototype interactions, and oversee design deliverables from strategy to launch.   • Collaborate with product management partners to refine product strategy & project goals, brainstorm ideas, define customer workflows, prototype interactions, conduct research and launch new products and services.
  • Oversee and provide design deliverables for product initiatives from insight to strategy to launch across native apps and mobile web, ensuring that ThredUp’s brand permeates every aspect of the product experience.
  • Conduct user research to understand user needs and pain points, conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve designs, and ship highly crafted and joyful experiences that advance ThredUp’s mission.
  • Curious and future thinking: you have natural curiosity and perseverance. You are interested in emerging technology (e.g. AI) and how it can be leveraged both to improve customer experience and to make your own workflows more efficient

  • Self-motivated, agile-mindset: you can prioritize and manage trade-offs in a fast paced environment to meet critical project deadlines both independently and as part of a team
  • You have experience designing across platforms and demonstrate an understanding of technical constraints as they apply to each platform (web, iOS, Android)
  • You have a high level of fluency with diagramming, wireframing, and prototyping tools such as Figma as well as AI native tools like Claude Code. Ideally prototype in code and have even shipped code into production
  • 3-5 years of experience as a digital product designer shipping products on cross functional teams
  • Experience working solo or with user research teams to conduct user testing, mixed methods research, and usability evaluations
  • Data driven: you have exposure collaborating with business and data science stakeholders to ensure that you stay focused on business objectives and to develop metrics that quantify the impact of your work
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in design, psychology, computer science, or a related field
  • Communicative: you demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders
  • You have a strong portfolio of shipped products that showcases your craftsmanship and demonstrates a strong understanding of user-centered, insights-driven design process
