Social Media Manager

Join True Anomaly, a pioneering company in the space security domain. As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the social media strategy, building the content calendar, and engaging with the audience across various platforms. This is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to shape the company's social presence and grow an audience that matters. You will work closely with the CEO and other executives, and have the chance to build and lead the social media function as it grows.

• Own True Anomaly's social strategy and presence across platforms, building and running the social content calendar.
• Write and ship content in True Anomaly's voice, adapting the narrative to what each platform rewards without diluting it.
• Grow True Anomaly's audience across platforms and deepen engagement with key audiences, including talent, defense and space press, policymakers, and investors.
• 8+ years running social and community for a brand, with demonstrable results; audience growth, engagement, and a clear connection to business or mission impact, backed by metrics rather than anecdotes
• A strong writer first. This role lives or dies on voice, and True Anomaly's external standard is high. You write clearly, directly, and without hedging
• Genuine interest in defense, national security, or space is a meaningful signal. Category expertise is not required; intellectual seriousness about the mission is
• Fluency with AI and modern content tooling as part of how you work, not an afterthought
• Comfortable working directly with C-suite on their social presence - you can earn an executive's trust, advise on voice and timing, and ghostwrite convincingly while helping them build a real audience
• Comfortable being the whole function today and building it tomorrow. You want to own the strategy and do the work, and you find a blank slate energizing rather than daunting
• Real platform fluency; you understand what each channel rewards, you can read what's working, and you adapt fast without chasing every trend
• Sound judgment and high discretion. Social sits in public, close to sensitive topics in defense and national security. you know what to post, what to hold, and when to escalate
• The physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving
• To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
