Head of Accounting Policy & Financial Reporting

Join OnePay as the Head of Accounting Policy & Financial Reporting. In this role, you will lead the accounting policy and financial reporting function, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting while supporting the company's growth and evolving product landscape. You will establish and maintain accounting policies, oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, analyze accounting implications for complex transactions, and partner cross-functionally with various departments. Additionally, you will lead modernization efforts across reporting processes, systems, and controls.

• Establish and maintain accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP, including ongoing assessment of FASB and SEC developments.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and ensure a strong internal control environment over financial reporting.
• Analyze and document accounting implications for complex transactions including M&A, new products, and strategic initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working with auditors, regulators, and executive leadership
• Experience evaluating complex transactions and translating accounting guidance into practical business decisions
• Drive and proactivity – everyone here is a builder and executor
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, technical accounting research, and financial reporting requirements
• Proven ability to build and improve internal controls and reporting processes in a scaling organization
• 12+ years of experience in accounting within financial services, fintech, or a high growth technology environment
