About The Role

Join Twitch as a Software Development Manager (Commerce) and lead a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full stack applications that enable creators to earn a living doing what they love. You will have a high level of ownership over your services and will work closely with other engineering leaders, product managers, designers, data specialists, and program managers. You should have at least 8 years of software development experience, including 2 years of people management experience, and a track record of leading teams to design, implement, and operate consumer-facing applications.

Lead a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full stack applications that enhance creators' revenue on Twitch.
Establish a clear vision for the team, generate urgency to deliver for customers, and focus on delivering results.
Partner with other engineering leaders, product managers, designers, data specialists, and program managers to deliver solutions.
An impact oriented and product engineering leader mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Clarity of thought and articulation are critical components for success
Experience with web services, cloud infrastructure, and system design
Ability to to attract, hire and retain engineering talent
Comfortable operating within an ambiguous and ever changing environment
8+ years of software development experience; including 2+ years of people management experience
Track record of leading teams to design, implement and operate consumer-facing applications
Hands-on experience building applications using Golang, AWS Cloud Infra and/or React
Experience building Machine Learning or AI applications
Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical field
