Robotics Software Intern (Real-Time Controls)

Join Apptronik as a Robotics Software Intern, where you will contribute to the development of software that enables our humanoid robot, Apollo, to move and interact with the world. You will work closely with the Real-Time Controls team, assisting in the integration of sensor data, implementing mathematical models for robot movement, and analyzing performance data. This internship is ideal for students or researchers with a background in robotics, computer science, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.

• Contribuer au développement et aux tests des modules logiciels en temps réel en C++ qui pilotent le mouvement du robot.
• Assister à l'intégration des données des capteurs et des retours de firmware dans les boucles de contrôle principales.
• Participer à l'implémentation et à la validation des modèles mathématiques utilisés pour le positionnement et le mouvement des membres du robot.
• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Robotics Basics: Familiarity with standard robot components like actuators, encoders, and IMUs
• Development Tools: Experience with Git for version control and comfort working in a Linux environment
• Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills and a desire to solve complex problems within a multidisciplinary team
• Physics & Math Foundations: Solid understanding of Newtonian physics (forces, torques) and linear algebra (vectors, matrices, and coordinate systems)
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, or testing
• Foundational C++: Basic understanding of Modern C++ (e.g., classes, memory management, and OOP principles)
• Relevant experience through personal projects or academic research projects focused on robotics, motion, or physical simulation
