About The Role

Join the London Stock Exchange as a Business Development Manager for Fixed Income Primary Markets. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business development and managing relationships with global borrowers in the financial institution sector. You will collaborate with various teams within the organization and represent the London Stock Exchange at global industry events. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of primary debt capital markets and experience in investment banking.

  • An ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of primary debt capital markets, with a particular focus on financial institutions, gained through a practitioner role in debt capital markets, leveraged finance and/or high‑yield issuance, and/or investment banking coverage
  • The candidate must be capable of working independently, proactively building and managing a pipeline of FIG issuers, and be accustomed to serving clients in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment. Previous experience at an investment bank and an established industry network are highly desirable
  • Previous experience working within Debt Capital Markets or investment banking achieved through a practitioner role in debt and and/or leveraged finance, or high yield issuance
  • Strong verbal communicator, both in person and over the phone. Team player with the ability to collaborate with key internal colleagues
  • Excellent presentation skills, confident and with the ability to interact with clients and market participants
  • And/or experience in DCM origination, syndications, transaction management, credit analysis or treasury
  • Good knowledge of fixed income markets with the ability to develop understanding of capital market issuance process
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to develop solutions that demonstrate an understanding of the external environment e.g. legal / regulatory framework, competitor offerings etc
