About The Role

Join our central Quality Enablement team as a Senior Quality Engineer. You will define standards for automated testing across our Java microservices and Python-based AWS Lambda functions. Your responsibilities will include enabling teams to maintain a robust microservices testing strategy, supporting engineers in running containerized services locally, collaborating closely with developers and analysts, building and maintaining automated tests, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and exploring new tools and approaches to improve coverage and reliability. Strong experience in Java development and test automation, knowledge of microservices testing strategies, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines are required.

  • Enabling teams to maintain a robust microservices testing strategy, covering unit, component, contract, and end-to-end tests.
  • Collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and fellow engineers to embed quality early, continuously improve frameworks, and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
  • Building and maintaining automated tests using Java (JUnit, Rest-Assured), Pact for contract testing, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Advanced testing tools: Pact, Rest-Assured, Mockito, Localstack
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for continuous learning
  • Strong experience in Java development and test automation
  • Knowledge of microservices testing strategies
  • Experience of performance testing large distributed applications
  • Exposure to containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, EKS
  • AWS platform knowledge, including Lambda (for integration), API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM
  • Service Resilience: Exposure to test strategies like fault injection, resiliency measures such as circuit breakers or networking layers like service mesh
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and trunk-based development
  • Observability: Distributed tracing and monitoring in microservices
