Software Engineering (Core Data Model)

• Translate product requirements and concepts into software designs and implementation, considering scalability, performance, operational effort, and cost.
• Develop data pipelines for both research and production purposes, using a variety of distributed systems and databases.
• Provide technical leadership in addition to mentoring and encouraging other engineers.
• Willingness to get things done, take initiative and challenge existing assumptions and conventions
• Knowledge of source code management tools; e.g. Git
• 3+ years Python experience
• Strong communication & collaboration skills
• Knowledge of cybersecurity
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems
• Knowledge of software design principles and leading software development practices

• B.S or M.S in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of networking and networking protocols
• Unix/Linux proficiency
• 3+ years working with Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
• Database hands-on experience (MySQL, MariaDB, couchdb, etc.)
