Android Engineer

Join our team as an Android Engineer and work alongside a motivated group of software engineers and academics. You will contribute to the design and implementation of user interfaces and application features on Android, take ownership of parts of the app, and collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers. This is a remote position with opportunities for personal and professional growth.

• Contribuer à la conception et à la mise en œuvre d'interfaces utilisateur et de fonctionnalités d'application sur Android.
• Collaborer étroitement avec les ingénieurs, les chefs de produit et les designers pour livrer des expériences utilisateur de haute qualité.
• Écrire un code propre, testable et bien documenté, avec un fort accent sur la qualité et la sécurité.
• Ability and motivation to quickly pick up new concepts and adapt to changes in the Android framework
• Fluent in English, both in writing and reading, German is a plus
• Basic familiarity with parts of our tech stack, such as Kotlin, Coroutines, RxJava, Compose, Dagger, or GraphQL APIs, with motivation to deepen this knowledge
• Solid analytical thinking and a willingness to understand both technical and product-related challenges
• Prior Fintech experience is not required, but interest in investing or digital finance is a plus. Ideally, you are curious about or already a customer of Scalable Capital
• A University degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, natural sciences, ...) or a comparable qualification
• Interest in building great user experiences and learning how to implement custom UI components
• Curiosity about other technologies and platforms beyond Android
• Good communication skills and an openness to ask questions, give feedback, and learn from others
• Hands-on experience in android development, including initial experience in a professional setting (such as internships or working student roles), in addition to academic or personal projects
