Engineering Manager (Banking Platform)

• Lead and manage a team of engineers in the development of a fully vertically integrated investment platform, ensuring the use of cutting-edge technology and modern software development practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and academics to implement changes in the financial industry, prioritizing and achieving business goals with your team.
• Participate in the recruitment process to attract new colleagues or team members, and empower and manage the team to become self-organized, agile, and autonomous.
• Profound understanding of software development process, loosely-coupled distributed architectures and RESTful API Design
• Extreme sense of ownership
• Strong analytical thinking, both in the technical and in the product domain
• Passion for other people’s development and technical excellence
• A university degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, sciences, ...) or a comparable qualification
• Excellent communication skills that are clear, concise, and targeted towards your audience - engineering, product, or other stakeholders
• Previous experience as a backend developer (Java, Kotlin), preferably for cloud infrastructures / event-based asynchronous architectures
• Leadership experience is a plus
• Background in financial services is a strong plus
