AI Forward Deployed Engineer Manager

Join Magical as an AI Forward Deployed Engineer Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers in designing and orchestrating agentic workflows using AI prompting and Magical's multi-agent platform. You will act as a technical bridge between customers and Magical's product and engineering teams, diagnose and resolve issues, and shape the internal playbook. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in engineering or a similar technical background, a strong sense of agency, and a deep curiosity about AI prompting and automation.

• Agir en tant que pont technique entre les clients et les équipes produit et ingénierie de Magical, en capturant les retours d'expérience et en les traduisant en améliorations de la plateforme.
• Diagnostiquer et résoudre les problèmes liés aux déploiements, aux intégrations et aux optimisations des performances, en garantissant la fiabilité dans des environnements critiques.
• Have a strong bias towards action, a willingness to do whatever it takes, and embody show > tell
• Studied science or engineering in college (dropout welcome)
• You have 3+ years of experience in engineering, QA engineering, solutions engineering, or similar technical background
• Located in Toronto or willing to relocate
• Have a strong sense of agency, effectively prioritizing and unblocking yourself without much outside input
• You’re deeply curious about AI prompting, multi-agent systems, and automation. Prior experience here is a plus, but a fast learner with strong fundamentals will thrive
• You thrive in early-stage chaos: you’re excited to define the playbook rather than follow one
• You have managed teams of 4 (or more) engineers
