Senior Embedded Engineer

• Lead the design and implementation of embedded and Android systems code for current and future products.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive system definition, documentation, and integration.
• Own and evolve the multi-board firmware architecture to support reliable operation, remote management, and diagnostics.
• Demonstrated ownership across the full product development lifecycle, from initial board bring-up through production release and sustaining support of units in the field
• Strong grasp of modern software development practices, including version control (e.g., git), build automation, and unit testing
• A BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related field
• Highly proficient at the hardware/firmware boundary, including debugging physical systems at the board and system level using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
• Familiarity with wireless communication protocols (e.g., LTE, WiFi) is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers
• Experience in Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or embedded Linux is a significant plus
• Hands-on experience with serial communication protocols: UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet, DSI, CSI, etc
• Team-oriented approach to problem solving and knowledge generation
• Advance-level proficiency in embedded C and embedded C++ targeting the ARM Cortex-M family of microcontrollers
• Deep experience with bare-metal and RTOS-based applications controlling electromechanical systems
• Track record of architecting firmware systems and making design decisions that balance reliability, maintainability, and speed of development
• 7+ years of hands-on industry experience developing, releasing, and supporting production-quality, reliable firmware
• Ability to be in the office 3+ days per week
• Ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in rapidly growing or scaling companies is a plus
