As a Senior Embedded Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of embedded and Android systems code, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive system definition and integration. - Lead the design and implementation of embedded and Android systems code for current and future products.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive system definition, documentation, and integration.
- Own and evolve the multi-board firmware architecture to support reliable operation, remote management, and diagnostics.
- Demonstrated ownership across the full product development lifecycle, from initial board bring-up through production release and sustaining support of units in the field
- Strong grasp of modern software development practices, including version control (e.g., git), build automation, and unit testing
- A BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related field
- Highly proficient at the hardware/firmware boundary, including debugging physical systems at the board and system level using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
- Familiarity with wireless communication protocols (e.g., LTE, WiFi) is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers
- Experience in Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or embedded Linux is a significant plus
- Hands-on experience with serial communication protocols: UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet, DSI, CSI, etc
- Team-oriented approach to problem solving and knowledge generation
- Advance-level proficiency in embedded C and embedded C++ targeting the ARM Cortex-M family of microcontrollers
- Deep experience with bare-metal and RTOS-based applications controlling electromechanical systems
- Track record of architecting firmware systems and making design decisions that balance reliability, maintainability, and speed of development
- 7+ years of hands-on industry experience developing, releasing, and supporting production-quality, reliable firmware
- Ability to be in the office 3+ days per week
- Ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in rapidly growing or scaling companies is a plus
