About The Role

Join ServiceTitan, a rapidly growing fintech startup, as an Engineering Manager leading the Financing Team. You'll take end-to-end ownership of projects, mentor engineers, improve team performance, and collaborate with various stakeholders. Enjoy benefits like flexible time off, fully paid medical coverage, and a 401(k) match.

  • Distributed architecture best practices, especially around data consistency, auditability, and reliability — critical in financial systems
  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field a plus
  • Microsoft .NET (C#, <ASP.NET> MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or similar) — preferred
  • 3+ years of experience managing small to medium software engineering teams, preferably in an agile environment
  • Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, performance monitoring
  • Fintech, payments, or financial-services domain knowledge is a strong plus
  • Most of your work will be leadership and management focused, but you'll be expected to guide your team's technical decisions and contribute hands-on as needed
  • Strong technical chops as a backend or full-stack engineer, with expert-level knowledge of:
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • 8+ years of experience in senior engineering roles (designing APIs, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers)
  • AI as a Teammate: Hands-on experience leveraging AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, improve code quality, and streamline debugging workflows
  • Build an AI-Forward Culture: Create an environment where AI-assisted development is a team standard, not an outlier — driving adoption across your teams, coaching managers on best practices, and ensuring AI tooling becomes embedded in how your org ships and scales
  • A Growth Mindset: Eagerness to stay current with the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape and champion best practices for AI-assisted development within the team
  • Engineering Judgment: Ability to critically evaluate and integrate AI-generated output, applying sound engineering judgment to ensure correctness, security, and maintainability
  • AI Integration: Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) or AI services into production applications
  • We need a thoughtful, proactive leader who supports their team, encourages growth, and drives accountability through results — someone who can balance rapid iteration with the high product quality and risk-awareness that financial products demand. You're innovative, comfortable with ambiguity, and partner well with Product, Project Managers, Designers, Risk/Compliance, and other stakeholders as we run cross-functional agile teams building lending, credit, and capital-access products
