About The Role

Join Glean, a company redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. As a Technical Lead Manager for the Admin Console team, you will lead one of the most important product surfaces at Glean, guiding architecture, partnering with product and design, and growing a small but strategically important team. You will own architecture and execution for core admin-facing workflows, improve self-serve activation, and collaborate deeply with backend, connector, infra, and security teams. This is a high-impact, full-stack leadership role for an engineering leader with 8+ years of software engineering experience and 1+ years of engineering management experience.

  • Lead and grow the Admin Console engineering team, providing both people leadership and strong technical direction.
  • Own architecture and execution for core admin-facing workflows including data source setup, security configuration, deployment management, and feature rollout controls.
  • Partner closely with Product and Design to simplify complex enterprise workflows and make the admin experience more intuitive and scalable.
  • Product‑minded: you prioritize customer impact, clear SLAs/SLOs, and pragmatic iteration
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience building production distributed systems or cloud‑native applications
  • Ownership‑driven with a positive, proactive attitude; comfortable leading projects or learning from battle‑tested engineers
  • 1+ years of engineering management experience of a full stack team
  • Experience mentoring engineers with different technical strengths, including frontend and backend team members
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and comfort partnering with product, design, security, and platform teams
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and shape roadmap, architecture, and team execution in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience working on products where usability, governance, permissions, and technical complexity all matter
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong coding skills in at least one of: Python, Go, Java, C++, Javascript
  • You have experience building enterprise SaaS, enterprise platform, admin console, or similarly configurable product experiences
