Software Engineer (Billing and Revenue Platform)

Join Glean, a leading AI company, as a Software Engineer focused on our billing and revenue platform. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, design and implement systems for usage metering and pricing logic, and partner with various teams to translate pricing strategy into robust technical designs. You should have 8+ years of industry experience, expertise in Golang, Java, Typescript, and SQL, and meaningful experience with billing, payments, or pricing systems.

• Act as the technical lead for key initiatives across the billing and revenue platform, driving the evolution of consumption and Flex pricing infrastructure.
• Work hands-on to design and implement systems for usage metering, pricing logic, credits, and admin-facing billing dashboards.
• Partner with Finance, Pricing, RevOps, and Product to translate pricing strategy into robust technical designs and workflows.
• An owner mindset and excitement about being in a product-focused environment where everyone cares deeply about customer and business impact
• Experience building platforms and web interfaces, including frontend, APIs, and backend services
• 8+ years of industry software engineering experience
• Expertise in Golang, Java, Typescript, SQL is highly desirable
• Experience with or desire to learn large language models, retrieval augmented generation, agents, and their cost structures is beneficial
• Meaningful experience with billing, payments, pricing, or other revenue-critical systems (usage-based or subscription); or you have built similarly high-integrity, auditable systems
• Strong ability to drive technical direction, make tradeoffs explicit, and align cross-functional stakeholders around pragmatic decisions
