Principal Software Development Engineer (Post Trade)

Join our Engineering team as a Principal Software Development Engineer. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of our brokerage systems, working closely with our engineering team and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for the technical architecture, design, and delivery of high-performance, low-latency brokerage systems using Java/Golang. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team and support applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of brokerage systems, ensuring scalability, low latency, and high availability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, guiding them in best practices and innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance trading and backend systems for multiple asset classes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and automated testing frameworks
• Experience with a 24x7, highly-available architecture
• Experience with Unix, Linux Operating Systems
• Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Jira, Git, Jenkins
• Must understand Test Driven Development and how to write effective unit/integration tests
• Proficient in No SQL, SQL and Stored Procedures such as in Postgres, MySQL
• Proficient in developing and maintaining robust REST APIs and implementing sophisticated event-driven architectures with Kafka and Kubernetes
• Strong communication skills
• Background in financial technology or capital markets is required
• Strong experience with Amazon Web Services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• At least 10 years of experience in Software Engineering with expertise in Java
• Experience with Linux and writing scripts to extract and transform data
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Multiple years experience in fin-tech specifically Post Trade, Payment or SaaS
