• Responsible for the technical architecture, design, and delivery of high-performance, low-latency brokerage systems using Java/Golang.
• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and microservices, and work with the Broker Dealer Operations teams to support and enhance the trading and backend system for multiple asset classes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, and provide guidance to non-technical staff in using software and hardware systems most effectively and efficiently.
• Experience with Unix, Linux Operating Systems
• Knowledge of Jira, Git, Jenkins
• Proficient in developing and maintaining robust REST APIs and implementing sophisticated event-driven architectures with Kafka and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and automated testing frameworks
• Proficient in No SQL, SQL and Stored Procedures such as in Postgres, MySQL
• Must understand Test Driven Development and how to write effective unit/integration tests
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• At least 10 years of experience in Software Engineering with expertise in Java
• Strong experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience with a 24x7, highly-available architecture
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• Background in financial technology or capital markets is required
• Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience with Linux and writing scripts to extract and transform data
• Multiple years experience in fin-tech specifically Post Trade, Payment or SaaS
