Director of Open-Source Software

Join Riverlane, a for-profit company dedicated to making quantum computing useful sooner. As the Director of Open-Source Software, you will drive our open-source efforts, develop analysis tools, simulators, visualizers, and core components, and interface with the internal and global developer community. You will have the opportunity to shape and build our products while amplifying internal efforts and making software widely accessible to the global ecosystem.

• Set the direction for Riverlane's open-source efforts, driving the development of tools and frameworks that enable great science.
• Lead the development of Deltakit, Riverlane's open SDK, and drive the teams that develop analysis tools, simulators, visualizers, and core components.
• Interface with the internal developer community and the global community to understand and support their needs, and identify opportunities to amplify internal efforts.
• Track record of working with developer ecosystems, ideally with experience as maintainer
• Member of open-source groups
• Excellent software skills in Python, C++
• Programming Languages
• Team leadership experience
• Compilers
• Simulators (ideally Quantum Simulators)
• Proven experience in leading large open-source projects with real impact and sufficient technical or scientific complexity
• Understanding of one or more of the following areas:
• Excellent communication skills
• Analysis tools
• Good understanding of Quantum Computing
• PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline from a top University
• Organiser of open-source groups
