Senior Software Engineer (Platform)

Join Chime, a leading financial technology company, as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will own the messaging, caching, job processing, and workflow platforms that keep services connected. You will work closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams to solve cross-cutting technical problems and reduce operational overhead. You will also have the opportunity to automate upgrades, monitoring, and operations across the platform, and build tools that allow engineers to self-serve.

• You care about the engineers who use what you build — and you'll push back when a pattern is going to cause them pain later
• Solid understanding of async and synchronous data-sharing patterns — pub/sub, RPC, caching, and when to use each
• Strong Ruby/Rails experience; Python or Go is a bonus
• Comfort working in CI/CD environments
• A track record of shipping production systems as part of a team
• Familiarity with AWS (ElastiCache, SNS/SQS) and infrastructure tooling like Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Experience with large-scale production systems and the tradeoffs that come with them
