Communications Manager (Policy & Public Affairs)

You will leverage your deep relationships with national journalists and utilize social media to directly engage with the community and policymakers. This position requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in high-stakes political communications and a passion for the potential of crypto to update the financial system.

• Lead the communications strategy for high-stakes legislative and regulatory initiatives to ensure a fair and predictable environment for the crypto economy.
• Partner with legal and policy teams to translate complex litigation and filings into clear, winning public narratives.
• Leverage deep relationships with national political, financial, and tech journalists to aggressively tell the Coinbase story.
• Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality
• Political Combat Experience: Minimum 7 years in high-stakes political communications (Hill, campaign, or agency rapid-response)
• X/Social Media Native: Deep understanding of how to drive a news cycle and move public opinion via digital platforms
• Mission Alignment: Commitment to working in a non-partisan environment and a passion for the potential of crypto to update the financial system
• Ownership Mindset: An "always-on" operative who views personal and company growth as intertwined and thrives in a campaign-style environment
