Firmware Intern (Fall 2026)

Join our team as a Firmware Engineer Intern for Fall 2026. In this role, you will support board bring-up, develop and validate new firmware features, and assist with integration and testing. You will design, implement, and test firmware for critical components, develop Python tools for test automation, contribute to our CI/CD infrastructure, and support hardware/software integration in the lab. This is a minimum 10-week internship, with a preference for 1 to 2 terms.

• Assister à la mise en service des cartes, au développement et à la validation de nouvelles fonctionnalités du firmware.
• Concevoir, mettre en œuvre et tester le firmware en C ou C++ pour des composants critiques tels que les contrôleurs de moteur.
• Développer des outils Python pour automatiser les tests ou calibrer le matériel.
• Minimum 10 weeks internship, 1 to 2 terms preferred
• Comfortable using lab instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer) and in-circuit debugging tools
• Experience implementing low level software on bare-metal systems and RTOS
• Undergraduate student (Senior) or recent graduate in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Good knowledge of computer architecture
• Deep understanding of communication buses and protocols like Ethernet, Ethercat, Serial, CAN or USB
• Fluent in C, C++, and Python
• Experience with motor controllers or battery management systems
• Experience implementing CI/CD infrastructures
• Familiar with Agile and Test driven development
