Hardware Technician (Data Collection)

Join our team as a Hardware Technician, where you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining our teleoperation hardware systems, including VR/AR headsets, teleoperation equipment, and laptops. You'll be the go-to person for hardware setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance across our teleoperation infrastructure. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, basic networking knowledge, and hands-on experience with VR/AR headset setup and maintenance.

• Familiarity with basic electronics, cable management, and equipment calibration
• Experience with laptop/PC imaging, configuration, and deployment
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, connectivity, and system configuration issues
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• 2+ years of experience in hardware support, IT technician, or similar technical role
• Basic networking knowledge and setup experience (Wi-Fi configuration, IP addressing, router provisioning, troubleshooting connectivity issues)
• Ability to lift equipment up to 30 lbs and work in a lab environment
• Hands-on experience with VR/AR headset setup and maintenance
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Experience in robotics, manufacturing, or automation environments
• Background in motion capture or VR/AR gaming systems
• Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) or robotics platforms
• Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash)
• Associate degree or certification in electronics, IT, or related field
