About The Role

Join our team as a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Winter 2026. You will design, test, and implement key hardware components for our humanoid robot. This internship is ideal for students graduating in Summer 2026 or within the following year. Responsibilities include designing parts in 3D CAD, building and testing prototypes, generating accurate 2D drawings, and supporting electromechanical integration. Candidates should have experience in mechanical prototyping, 3D CAD software, and a passion for robotics.

  • Design and develop mechanical components for humanoid robots, ensuring they meet load conditions and durability requirements.
  • Build and test prototypes to validate mechanical concepts, and generate accurate 2D drawings using GD&T.
  • Support electromechanical integration, including components such as sensors and motors, and assist with hands-on testing.
  • Experience designing, building, and testing mechanical prototypes
  • Experience using 3D CAD software to design parts with complex geometry
  • Ability to write and maintain clean documentation throughout the design process
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with hardware projects
  • Passion for robotics and hardware development
  • Must submit a portfolio or website of relevant projects and your role
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field, having completed at least two years by the start of the internship
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and first article inspection
  • Experience with sensors, motors, or electromechanical systems
  • Exposure to FEA, simulation tools, or basic programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
  • CATIA V6 experience
