Senior Product Marketing Manager

Join our team as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, where you'll own the messaging, positioning, and sales narrative for Astro's trust-building side. This high-impact role reports directly to marketing leadership and involves collaboration with product leadership, marketing, and sales. You'll create messaging architecture, develop competitive intelligence, enable sales, execute product launches, and produce content for both technical practitioners and economic buyers. • Ownership of messaging, positioning, and sales narrative for the product area, including creating messaging architecture and feature-level guides.
• Development and maintenance of competitive battlecards, informed by win/loss analysis and real deal signals, to equip sales with the necessary tools to win.
• Execution of the go-to-market motion for product launches, defining success at each stage and ensuring alignment with marketing and sales teams.
• Comfort working cross-functionally with product, sales, and demand gen; ability to influence without authority
• Ability to make the complex simple without making it wrong
• Experience marketing to both technical practitioners (data engineers, platform engineers) and economic buyers (VP/Dir of Data, CTO)
• Experience with competitive positioning: building battlecards, conducting win/loss analysis, synthesizing signals from sales and market data
• A self-starter who can identify and prioritize their own work with little oversight
• 5+ years in product marketing, with at least 2 in a technical B2B SaaS or infrastructure company
• Background in data infrastructure, developer tooling, or cloud/platform products
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow, dbt, Databricks, Snowflake
• An understanding of the dynamics between an open-source project and the commercial company built around it
