About The Role

Join Mimecast, a leading provider of cloud-based email security and human risk management solutions. As a Business Development Representative for the Nordic region, you will be responsible for generating and nurturing sales leads, conducting outbound prospecting, qualifying leads, and collaborating with reseller partners. You will work closely with marketing, channel, and sales teams to uncover opportunities and drive pipeline growth. This role requires strong communication skills, resilience, and a sales-driven mindset.

  • Conduct high-volume outreach to identify and qualify potential leads through cold calls, emails, and social media engagement.
  • Collaborate with reseller partners and internal teams to uncover opportunities and fuel the sales pipeline.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring accurate tracking of all activities in the CRM system.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to iterate messaging and approach based on feedback and market conditions
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once while maintaining attention to detail
  • Previous Experience: Experience in tele-sales, business development, or outbound prospecting is a plus, though not required
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience using sales engagement platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM, and automation tools preferred
  • Sales-Driven Mindset: A motivated self-starter with a desire to exceed targets and grow your sales career
  • Resilience: Ability to handle objections and rejection, remaining focused and determined
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to maintain high outreach activity levels
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct thorough needs analysis, understand customer pain points, and qualify opportunities effectively
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and channel partners
  • Resilience: Persistence and resilience in the face of rejection and challenges in lead generation
  • Language skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally, though not essential, one Nordic language (Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian). Candidates who do not speak a Nordic language should have lived or worked in the region
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage potential customers and articulate value propositions
