Financial Controller (Maternity cover)

Join Mimecast as a Financial Controller (Maternity Cover) on a fixed-term basis. This senior role involves broad ownership across EMEA entities, including US GAAP management reporting, statutory audit, tax collaboration, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience at the Controller level in a complex, multi-currency environment. Responsibilities include monthly management reporting, oversight of reconciliations, supervision of statutory audits, collaboration with tax teams, and implementation of best practices within the Finance department.

• Ownership of monthly management reporting under US GAAP and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Supervision of statutory audits and preparation of financial statements under IFRS for UK and other EMEA entities.
• Collaboration with tax teams to ensure visibility of transfer pricing changes and timely reporting of corporation tax returns.
• Proven Finance Controller experience
• Experience with multi-currency reporting
• 5+ years' post-qualified experience within industry
• Professional accounting qualification — ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
• Credibility and confidence to liaise effectively with senior management
• Team player with a positive, collaborative attitude
• Methodical, diligent, accurate and accountable approach to work
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvement through change
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality work to deadlines
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
