Director of Product (Broker-Dealer)

Join Betterment, a leading digital investment platform, as the Director of Product for our Broker-Dealer division. In this deeply technical role, you will lead a team of product managers responsible for shipping new capabilities and ensuring the efficiency and resilience of our foundational asset management systems. You will represent the Broker-Dealer domain to stakeholders and executives, collaborate with various teams, and drive business value through innovative functionality.

• Strong storytelling skills to distill complex technical concepts into accessible information for partner organizations and clients
• 8-12 years of product management experience leading products in complex technical domains. Prior experience in trading or investment platforms is a significant plus
• Experience managing, leading, and developing a team of product managers
• A self-starter with proven success in launching products in collaboration with a broad set of stakeholders
• Comfort operating at multiple altitudes: setting multi-year platform strategy one day, unblocking a mutual fund edge case the next
• Strong analytical abilities and enthusiasm for data-driven decision-making
• Creative problem-solving skills to deliver innovative functionality within regulatory and technical constraints
• Technical fluency to engage credibly with engineers on system design, data flows, and platform tradeoffs
