Senior Fleet Support Engineering Lead

Join Zoox, a company dedicated to revolutionizing transportation through autonomous vehicles. As a Senior Fleet Support Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for maximizing the operational uptime and reliability of our regional robotaxi fleet. You will serve as the first line of escalation for complex technical issues, oversee the daily workflow of the Regional FSE team, and perform deep root-cause analysis to resolve high-impact issues. Additionally, you will partner closely with the HQ FSE team to improve diagnostics and tooling, lead field validation efforts, and develop scalable troubleshooting guides. This role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles.

• Act as the primary technical expert for all regional escalations, diagnosing complex issues across all vehicle subsystems.
• Direct the daily workflow of the Regional FSE team, overseeing performance management, career development, resource allocation, and team building.
• Perform deep root-cause analysis using logs, vehicle diagnostics, and fleet data to resolve high-impact issues and prevent recurrence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with hands-on exposure to sensors
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector end views/pinouts
• Understanding of vehicle hardware/software architectures, including communications, diagnostics, and safe troubleshooting of low/high voltage systems Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), and how to safely troubleshoot
• Proven ability to perform holistic system-level problem solving and drive issues down to root cause at the component level
• Experience with electric vehicle technology
• Experience with remotely supporting vehicle troubleshooting
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics tools
