Software Development Engineer in Test (Part-time, Student Worker)

Join Zoox, a leader in autonomous technology, as a part-time Software Development Engineer in Test. In this role, you will support the build and operation of a CI environment for Airlines, working alongside engineers and researchers. • Available to commit to a minimum three-month assignment
• Able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Must adhere with Zoox confidentiality requirements, including refraining from using or sharing proprietary company information outside of Zoox, such as in academic research, theses, publications, or presentations
• Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a closely related field
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complexity and ambiguity clearly
• Proficient with Linux/CLI
• Strong programming skills in Python and Git
• Hands-on hardware/lab skills (schematics, wiring, instruments)
• Familiarity with automotive/robotics ECU, firmware-flashing, or MFG-test
• You do not need to match every listed expectation to apply for this position
• Experience with log-reading & triage
• Exposure to CI tools, Docker, or Pytest
• Embedded/HIL/test-automation/CAN coursework or projects
