About The Role

Join our team as a Sales Development Representative, where you will be responsible for identifying, contacting, and qualifying new leads to set up introductory meetings with our sales team. You will work closely with various sales executives and specialists to devise targeted sales campaigns, maintain records in our global CRM, and develop internal relationships within the Professional Information Business team.   • Identifying, contacting, and qualifying new leads to set up introductory meetings with the sales team.
  • Working closely with New Business Sales Executives and Account Managers to devise sales campaigns and generate qualified sales leads.
  • Maintaining records of sales calls, contacts, and sales campaigns in the global CRM to provide timely management information.
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must
  • Degree level education or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness when working closely with people of diverse cultures or backgrounds
  • Experience in selling information and compliance tools to senior business decision makers is a plus
  • Knowledge or ability to learn the processes and daily workflow of compliance personnel
  • Comfort and confidence with cold calling
  • Proactive, with a 'can do' attitude and the ability to adapt in a fast changing environment
  • Ability to identify key customer issues to determine whether it is appropriate to set-up a meeting with a specialist
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to drive new business opportunities within new prospects, as well as ability to upsell to existing Dow Jones customers within a team selling environment
  • Driven by results
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple activities and re-prioritize when necessary to ensure revenue goals are achieved
  • Ability to utilize effective influencing strategies to gain agreement or commitment to proposed solutions in order to help advance the sales process to the next level
  • 1+ year experience required
