Staff Software Autonomy Applications Engineer

Join Shield AI as a Staff Software Autonomy Applications Engineer. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and support to customers during the implementation and use of our enterprise software products. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and ensure successful product integration for AI & Autonomy development. You will also develop AI & Autonomy applications, deploy Hivemind AI infrastructure at customer sites, and provide technical training to customers. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, a technical background in software engineering, and experience in the defense aviation or robotics industry.

• Provide technical expertise and support to customers during the implementation and use of Shield AI enterprise software products.
• Develop AI & Autonomy applications using Hivemind for unmanned platforms across air/sea/land/space, and deploy Hivemind AI infrastructure at customer sites.
• Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to address customer feedback and improve products, and assist the sales team in answering complex technical queries from customers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 7+ years of experience of industry experience
• Strong technical background in software engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in the defense aviation or robotics industry
• 3+ years of experience working in a startup environment
• 3+ years of experience in an integration/applications engineering role
• Strong proficiency in writing modern C++ code
• Intermediate proficiency in writing Python code
• Experience building and running a small enterprise software applications/solutions engineering team
