Data Engineer

Join NCC Group as a Data Engineer and play a crucial role in delivering our data strategy. You will support the development of a scalable data intelligence platform in Azure, enabling deeper insights from complex data using predictive analytics and AI. Your work will guide mission-focused decision making and strategic planning, helping NCC achieve its core objectives. You will be involved in various projects, build data pipelines, ensure data quality, and collaborate with analysts to translate requirements into solutions.

• Support the successful delivery of a scalable data intelligence platform in Azure, enabling the extraction of deeper insights from big and complex data.
• Develop and maintain data infrastructure, including ETLs, data migrations, data models, stored procedures, and reporting outputs, to provide clear and efficient analytics.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate requirements into solutions, ensuring successful business outcomes and promoting data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
• Knowledge of CI/CD approaches for Data Platforms
• Experience in a relevant sector is a plus
• Degree or equivalent qualification/experience in computer science, data science, or a related field
• Implement data solutions in a Microsoft Azure environment using native technologies and RDS (SQL Server) toolsets
• Experience with Python or PySpark for scripting and automating data tasks
• Experience with dimensionally modelled databases for analytics use cases
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure technologies, including MS Fabric, Data Factory, Azure Synapse & RDS
• Knowledge of ETL tools and approaches
• Proven experience working in a similar role, ideally within the tech industry
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server, SSIS, Visual Studio, and SSDT projects
