About The Role

Join NCC Group as a Lead Security Researcher in the Exploit Development Group (EDG). In this role, you will conduct high-impact vulnerability research and exploit development, contributing to NCC Group's reputation as a global authority in security research. You will deliver original research, provide tactical support to consulting and managed services teams, and participate in vulnerability research competitions. You will also publish research findings and mentor colleagues in vulnerability research and exploitation.

  • Conduct high-impact vulnerability research and exploit development across various platforms and technologies.
  • Deliver high-quality vulnerabilities and reliable exploits as part of strategic research programs, and provide tactical support to consulting teams.
  • Publish research findings and support their promotion through articles, whitepapers, presentations, and conference talks.
  • Understanding of common programming languages, vulnerability classes and exploitation methods
  • Ability to research and exploit unfamiliar instruction sets, programming languages and platforms
  • Clear written communication skills for documenting and presenting complex technical findings
  • Knowledge of modern exploitation mitigations and approaches for bypassing them
  • Ability to reverse engineer software written in both unmanaged and managed languages
  • Experience with major CPU architectures and operating systems or platforms
  • Strong knowledge of vulnerability research and exploitation techniques
