Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Join Pano as a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) and take ownership of major projects that unlock new end-to-end capabilities for our users. You will work across the entire stack, building highly scalable solutions that have a positive impact on our users and our business. You will develop new features, drive new projects from conceptualization to deployment, and ensure application performance, uptime, and scale. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, expertise in front-end technologies, proficiency with SQL and RDBMS, and familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps tools.

• The ideal candidate is humble, hungry, and people-smart. They have experience building products across the entire stack and a firm understanding of web technologies, APIs, databases, and both frontend and backend programming languages - including TypeScript/React, Java, and Python
• Experience with server-side Java software development, with modern frameworks and methodologies, such as Spring
• Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer
• 3+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced SaaS or a similar business environment
• Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5, and third-party SPA frameworks such as React
• Proficiency with SQL, RDBMS (ideally PostgreSQL), and familiarity with ORMs
• Ability to communicate effectively within the team and across the organization while sharing insights and updates and collaborating to achieve project goals
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in complex systems
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, such as GCP and AWS
• Familiarity with caching mechanisms such as Valkey, Memcached, and Redis
• Familiarity working with Linux-based systems as well as containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Basic design ability, including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design
• Familiarity with common DevOps tools and practices, such as Git and CI/CD
• Familiarity with SOC2 / ISO 27001 security frameworks
• Preference for someone located in the Pacific / Mountain time zones
