Staff Software Engineer (Multi-Robot Coordination)

Join our Robotics organization as a Staff Software Engineer specializing in Multi-Robot Coordination. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain application systems that enable robots to operate reliably in production environments. You will coordinate robot behaviors, manage system state, and integrate with enterprise systems. You will also improve reliability and scalability through robust testing, observability, incident response, and performance tuning. This is a fast-paced, high-ownership role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain application systems, integrations, and orchestration for robot coordination.
• Build and maintain integrations with robot platforms, warehouse management systems, APIs, services, and data systems.
• Improve reliability and scalability through robust testing, observability, incident response, and performance tuning.

• Demonstrated experience designing scalable systems and leading complex technical projects
• A proven track record of using analysis to influence high-stakes operational and engineering changes
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 6 years of experience in production‑level software development in C++, Python, or Rust
• Demonstrated experience or knowledge of distributed systems, backend services, API design, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes
