Vice President of Sales (Higher Education)

About The Role
Join Instructure as the Vice President of Sales, Higher Education, where you will lead our Higher Education business across North America, drive revenue growth, and shape go-to-market strategies. You will be a key member of the Growth Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, and will partner cross-functionally to accelerate growth and improve customer outcomes. This executive role requires a strong background in enterprise SaaS sales, experience selling complex software solutions into Higher Education institutions, and a passion for educational outcomes.
- Lead and drive revenue growth for the Higher Education business across North America through new customer acquisition and account expansion.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for public, private, community college, and system-level institutions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Build and nurture high-performing sales teams, providing coaching and development to Regional Vice Presidents, Directors, and front-line sales leaders.
- Expertise in enterprise forecasting, pipeline management, and operational excellence
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- Proven success leading large enterprise sales organizations through second-line leaders
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets
- Skilled in coaching, talent development, and organizational leadership
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customers, teams, and industry events
- Strong executive presence and experience engaging C-suite leaders and executive buyers
- 12+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience with progressive leadership responsibility
- Experience selling complex software solutions into Higher Education institutions
