About The Role

Join Parloa, a leading AI platform in Europe, as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain secure and scalable backend services, optimize system performance, and collaborate across teams to integrate machine learning components. You will also lead technical initiatives, drive operational excellence, and contribute to the evolution of our architecture and engineering culture. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience as a software engineer, experience with cloud-native infrastructure, and a strong understanding of distributed systems and APIs.

Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable backend services for a marketplace of tools and integrations.
Lead technical initiatives, including design, planning, implementation, and maintenance, to improve operational excellence.
Collaborate across teams to integrate machine learning components into production systems and drive initiatives to improve architecture.

7+ years of experience as a software engineer
Experience with developing and maintaining highly scalable and reliable microservices
Strong spoken and written communication skills in English
Motivated by making the impossible possible and building something iconic
Curiosity and openness to work with AI-assisted coding tools

Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, GCP/AWS)
Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and APIs
Experience in leading technical projects (3-9 months horizon)
Experience in Typescript, Node (ideally NestJS); or experience with comparable frameworks in other languages, and a willingness to learn and code in Typescript
Thrives in ambiguous, high-stakes environments with a strong sense of urgency
