• Set the vision for a team of Product Data Scientists and lead the team to execute company vision at scale, owning all team outputs across optimizations, modeling, and data analysis.
• Analyze operational and vehicle data to enhance Waymo Driver performance, support rapid geographic expansion, and maintain continuous freedom of operation.
• Act as a key thought partner to senior leadership, aligning cross-functional stakeholders around a shared vision, and manage the prioritization of team resources to effectively partner with key cross-functional teams.
• 12+ years of experience in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Statistical knowledge/data intuition
• 5+ years of team management experience
• 5+ years of experience with Machine Learning models and experimentations
• Coding skills and experience: Python,SQL and Data science related coding experience
• Ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems
• Experience working with Product and Software Engineering teams
• Marketplace business experience
• Prior experience building and managing both Data Scientists and Data Analysts
