About The Role

Join Astranis, a leading satellite technology company, as an Assembly, Integration, and Test Intern for Fall 2026. This twelve-week internship offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects in a fast-paced environment. As an intern, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software. You will gain hands-on experience with various test equipment and instruments, and coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test efforts. This position is ideal for students currently enrolled in a four-year university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software.
  • Develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures based on concepts and designs, and execute test plans.
  • Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test efforts, and learn to use various pieces of test equipment and instruments.
  • Must be onsite 5 days a week
  • A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
  • Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical degree)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operation
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing
  • Experience writing Python code to: Interface with test equipment, process large datasets, visualize data
  • Experience in CAD
  • Direct electrical or mechanical design experience
  • Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure
