Senior Accountant

Join Astranis as a Senior Accountant, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and scalability of our financial operations. You will be responsible for core accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close, while ensuring compliance with GAAP. You will also partner with FP&A, operations, and leadership to provide clear financial reporting and present results to the Finance leadership team. Additionally, you will identify and implement process improvements, assist in preparing for audits, and contribute to system enhancements and internal controls.

• As a Senior Accountant at Astranis, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and scalability of financial operations, preparing journal entries, and developing monthly expense accruals. You will also own core accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close, while ensuring compliance with GAAP. Additionally, you will partner with FP&A, operations, and leadership to provide clear financial reporting and identify process improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Solid knowledge of GAAP and experience applying it in practice
• Hands-on Netsuite experience

• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with consolidations, multiple entity structures, complex business models, preparing accruals, and/or managing prepaids and fixed asset subledgers
• Track record of executing month-end close and delivering accurate financial reporting
• CPA certification or CPA-track
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex analyses)
