About The Role

Join Salesforce AI as an Applied Research Engineer, where you'll bridge the gap between frontier AI technology and customer-facing reality. You'll work alongside research scientists to bring cutting-edge theory into practice, build tools and pipelines to support ML and AI efforts, and design, build, deploy, and maintain production services. This role offers a deep technical challenge and the opportunity to make a massive impact on real-world applications.

Collaborate with research scientists to transform AI models into production-ready applications.
Design, build, deploy, and maintain production services, including APIs, UIs, and agentic evaluators.
Build tools and pipelines to support machine learning and AI efforts, and roll out scalable cloud architectures.
Experience with production cloud deployments like AWS or GCP. Kubernetes is a plus
Strong abilities with Python and Linux, and some with React
Experience field-debugging full-stack deployments
Author high-quality, low-cognitive-load, fully-tested code – with- and without- AI assistance
Solid understanding of security principles and best practices
UI and graphic design sensibilities are a plus
