About The Role
Join our AI-First organization as a Cloud Development Environment Engineer. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize the next generation of cloud development platforms, focusing on embedding AI capabilities directly into development workflows. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing core platform components, validating AI outputs, building resilient cloud infrastructure, and driving AI fluency and adoption. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in high-level programming languages, and strong experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
- Design and orchestrate AI-augmented developer platforms, integrating with approved AI models to create efficient workflows.
- Critically evaluate, audit, and validate AI-generated code, designs, and documentation, ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
- Engineer scalable, reliable, and efficient remote development environments on cloud platforms, including designing intelligent CI/CD frameworks.
- Development Workflows: Understanding of developer workflows, build processes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in high level programming languages like Java, GoLang, Python, Javascript or Typescript; familiarity with scripting languages like Bash is a plus
- Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with AWS, GCP or Azure, including services like EC2, S3, etc
- Containerization Technology Expertise: Strong experience in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their integration with cloud development platforms
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work in agile teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on building developer tools or platforms
- Knowledge of secure software practices and performance tuning for distributed systems
- Proven ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project needs
- Passion for improving developer productivity and experience
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively within a team
- Contributions to open-source projects or personal coding projects are a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
