Decision Scientist Lead

Join Salesforce as a Decision Scientist Lead in the Data Solutions team. This role will lead the development of data foundation, metrics, and insights for Data 360. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, inform product roadmap development, and foster deep collaboration with partners. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in data science or analytics, proficiency in SQL and Python or R, and a strong background in statistics or machine learning.

• Lead the team in developing data foundation, metrics, and insights for Data 360, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business problems, synthesize data, and provide recommendations based on analytical findings.
• Inform the product roadmap development and execution for Data 360 product analytics, prioritizing impactful work and guiding the team in solving complex problems.
• Mastery of SQL for complex data extraction, feature engineering, and performance tuning within cloud data warehouses
• Proven experience working directly with senior executive leadership, and delivering enterprise-scale predictive modeling initiatives and applications
• Adept proficiency in Python or R (specifically the PyData stack: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Statsmodels, Scikit-learn)
• 8+ years of demonstrated experience as a data science or analytics professional, with a proven track record of delivering impact through modeling and/or analytics
• Proficient in statistics or machine learning, strong data manipulation, product analytics, and statistical analysis skills
• Willingness to work across a global team and time zones
• Get-it-done mindset with a strong bias towards action and impact
• MBA or Master’s in Technology (computer science, computer engineering, economics, applied math, statistics, engineering, or other quantitative field)
• Expert communicator in written and verbal form; ability to work well with executives, and technologists, and able to lead and influence across all levels of the organization
• Proven experience thinking out-of-the-box and solving tough problems
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance your flow of work
