About The Role
Join Salesforce as a DevOps Engineer focused on the Government Cloud. You will work with a team of skilled engineers to ensure maximum availability of the infrastructure through proactive enhancements, troubleshooting, and security compliance. You will lead key projects, collaborate with internal teams, and contribute to building and maintaining the shared system context. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, experience with infrastructure-related coding, and a passion for AI development.

- This candidate must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship and agrees to complete a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position
- 2+ years working experience scripting/programming language (Shell, Python, Golang)
- 3+ years Linux system engineering experience
- 3+ years development experience in Infrastructure as code and config management such as Terraform and/or Ansible
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor, etc.) in development workflows
- 3+ years experience deploying with a CI orchestration service (Spinnaker, Jenkins)
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal abilities with proficiency in both written and oral communication
- Experience with Log Management and Analytics tools such as Splunk / ELK
- Proven expertise in AWS environments, including infra build and optimization. Skilled in IaaS based TCP/IP networking protocols and associated components like transit gateway (tgw), vpc, security groups, and Route tables
- 2+ years developing or managing infrastructure and application security for Highly Sensitive Customer Data & Environments (IAM, CI/CD, PKI)
- A demonstrated, genuine AI-first approach to engineering. Using AI to move faster, build fluency across the stack, and contribute well beyond your core specialty
- Possesses strong analytical skills and a dedication to ongoing professional development
- 3+ years deploying distributed apps with containers (Docker) & orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE)
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and the ability to write precise, structured prompts and cultivate the system context that makes AI outputs reliable, secure, and production-ready
- Background in production service management, including on-call/PagerDuty rotations and the monitoring and alerting of service-specific SLIs and SLOs
- Experience in any of the monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, etc
- Experience developing security & compliance into pipelines such as (OPA, Checkov, Twistlock, Prisma)
