Lead Artificial Intelligence Engineer (Data Solutions)

Join Salesforce as a Lead AI Engineer, where you will build next-generation AI and ML systems. This role focuses on developing intelligent decision-making systems and building an agent flywheel that continuously evaluates, optimizes, and improves agent performance. You will have strong data and systems ownership, build models and agents, and create data pipelines and evaluation loops for continuous learning in production.

• Lead the development of intelligent decisioning systems and the agent flywheel, focusing on continuous improvement and optimization.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines for training, evaluation, and inference, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Build and deploy machine learning models, integrating them into business-critical workflows and driving measurable impact on business metrics.
• Experience building data pipelines (ETL/ELT, batch or streaming)
• 6+ years in AI/ML engineering or applied data science
• Strong Python experience in production systems
• Proven experience building and deploying ML models
• Experience with APIs and backend systems
• Experience with evaluation loops, agent traces, or iterative improvement systems preferred
• Familiarity with agent workflows and tool usage
• Experience with LLM-powered systems (prompting, orchestration, evaluation)
• Experience building data pipelines supporting ML systems
• Familiarity with tools like Spark, Airflow/Dagster, Snowflake/BigQuery
• Understanding of data quality, lineage, and reproducibility
• Strong understanding of supervised learning and evaluation methods
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
• Ability to design systems combining ML, LLMs, and business logic
• Exposure to evaluation tools (e.g., LangSmith, Braintrust, or similar)
• Experience with agent improvement systems (scoring, optimization loops)
• Experience with large-scale experimentation platforms
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS or CRM
