About The Role

Join Salesforce's Event Technology team as a Senior Software Engineer. You will architect and build next-generation event attendee platforms, impacting millions of users across Salesforce's flagship events and digital experiences. Your work will involve developing AI-powered solutions, building performant frontend experiences, designing scalable backend APIs, and optimizing application performance. You will also mentor and inspire team members, driving technical excellence in code quality, performance, security, and system reliability.

  • Architect and build next-generation event attendee platforms aligned to Future State Architecture, delivering exceptional experiences across the entire technology stack.
  • Design and implement scalable backend APIs and services on cloud-native architectures, ensuring high availability and reliability for millions of event attendees.
  • Drive technical excellence in code quality, performance, security, and system reliability, contributing to all phases of the SDLC in a Hybrid Engineering model.
  • The ideal candidate is a true full-stack engineer with strong backend API development skills and robust frontend capabilities, equally comfortable designing resilient distributed systems as crafting intuitive user interfaces
  • Expertise in TypeScript, React, and Next.js with modern JavaScript and responsive web design
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated full-stack capabilities in production environments
  • Development expertise including API design (RESTful and GraphQL), microservices architecture, and distributed systems
  • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, AppSync, API Gateway) and cloud infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and take ownership of complex projects under pressure, with strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Proven experience leveraging AI-powered development tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
  • Experience building component libraries, design systems, and micro frontend architectures
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization and security best practices, with experience in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with server-less architectures and event-driven systems
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and feature flagging systems
  • Familiarity with CDN optimization and edge computing (Akamai, CloudFront, Lambda@Edge)
  • Experience with real-time technologies (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, GraphQL subscriptions)
  • Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams
  • Track record of driving platform modernization or technical migrations
