  • Conception, design, and prototyping of mechanical systems for industrial CT scanning systems.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of mechanical design with electrical, firmware, and software components.
  • Leadership in the technical aspects of mechanical design for complex assemblies, driving projects from concept to mass manufacturing.
  • Our product is a complex hardware-software system. Success in this role requires systems thinking, hands-on prototyping, and the ability to bring structure to ambiguous design problems
  • Serve as a role model for other engineers, and model a standard of excellence
  • Can identify appropriate solutions to ambiguous, under-defined, and open-ended problems
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate requirements with other teams, tailoring your message to the audience
  • Excel at navigating ambiguity and remaining resilient through the ups and downs of a project
  • Consider the short- and long-term impacts of large technology choices
  • Have an enthusiasm for utilizing AI tools to their fullest to improve quality and increase speed
  • Typically have a bachelor's or master's degree and multiple years of relevant experience executing a broad range of activities directly applicable to the role
  • Experience leading projects through a complete product lifecycle, including through early manufacturing and into mass production
  • Experience designing motion systems, precision mechanisms, or mounting for imaging systems
  • Background in industrial automation, inspection, or scientific instrumentation
  • A portfolio of mechanical designs, prototypes, or shipped products you can share
