Senior Director Finance (GTM)

Join Ethos, a rapidly-scaling startup, as a Senior Director of Finance (GTM). In this high-visibility role, you will own financial strategy and performance management for our GTM business, serving as a financial thought partner to leaders across Marketing, Product, and Sales. You will drive decision-making related to unit economics, customer acquisition, operations, core business expansion, and new opportunities. • Own financial planning and forecasting for the GTM business, driving efforts to better serve new customer segments and launch new products.
• Apply business judgment and financial insights to drive decision making related to unit economics, customer acquisition, operations, and new opportunities.
• Develop and monitor critical financial performance metrics, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
• 4+ years in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, strategic finance, or consulting (with material CDD / Private Equity experience)
• Motivated self-starter with a track record of success and a proven ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks while hitting deadlines; desire to own and drive projects from Day 1
• Deep expertise in GTM unit economics and growth efficiency metrics, including a strong understanding of acquisition funnels, cohort analysis, and CLV
• Stellar academic record with a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including:
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners
• 6–8+ years in Strategic Finance, FP&A, or BizOps (with a material data / financial focus) roles at a GTM or consumer-facing company
• Ability to operate at both strategic and highly detailed levels
• SQL knowledge preferred
• Prior experience with Corp Dev / Biz Dev preferred
