About The Role
Join Trustly as a Lead Product Manager (Risk) and take ownership of the strategy and execution for our risk platform. In this high-impact role, you will shape the roadmap, collaborate with Data Science and Engineering, and drive decisions that affect approval rates, loss exposure, and guarantee economics. You will need to have a deep understanding of the domain, technical fluency, and the ability to think strategically while also being hands-on.
- Define and execute the product direction for risk infrastructure, including decisioning, model integration, rules management, and real-time controls.
- Collaborate closely with Data Science to translate model outputs into operational product decisions, including threshold design, feature requirements, and monitoring frameworks.
- Serve as the connective tissue between Risk, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Legal, and Sales, translating complex risk capabilities into language each stakeholder can act on.
- Clear communicator. You write well, speak pr audience — a fraud escalation brief and anexec strategy memo require different registers, and you can write both
- AI/ML fluent. You've worked alongside data alize models — not just consuming outputs, butshaping feature sets, defining thresholds, and building monitoring into product design
- Technically rigorous. Comfortable in SQL, fture, and capable of engaging in technicaldesign discussions without needing everything translated. You learn systems by using them
- High judgment under ambiguity. You've made consequential calls with incomplete information and can articulate your reasoning. You don't wait for consensus to form a view
- Domain expert. 4–7 years in product management with direct experience in risk, fraud, or financial decisioning. You understand ACH or digital payments mechanics es, dispute windows, and settlement timing —not just conceptually
- Analytically sharp. You write well, speak precisely, and calibrate for audience — a fraud escalation brief and an exec strategy memo require different registers, and you can write both
