Governance, Risk, and Compliance Internship (Fall 2026)

About The Role

Join Notion, a rapidly growing company that values security and trust. As a Governance, Risk, and Compliance Intern, you will work cross-functionally to enhance Notion's Information Security posture and support various compliance initiatives. This internship will take place from January to April 2026 in our San Francisco office.

  • Collaborating with teams across the organization to enhance Notion's Information Security posture for governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Assisting in the maturation and scaling of Security Compliance, Sales Enablement, Training, and Governance programs.
  • Driving compliance evidence automation and supporting staff training around Security.
  • Understanding of AI agents and AI-enabled coding tools
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or another related field
  • Proficiency in Python, Rest API calls
  • A collaborative mindset—you enjoy working cross-functionally to accomplish shared goals and care about learning, growing, and helping others do the same
  • Ability to communicate nuanced ideas clearly when communicating with stakeholders
  • This internship will take place from January – April 2026 and you will need to be able to work out of our SF office during this time
  • Experience independently executing tasks that require collaboration across multiple teams and time zones
  • Previous internship experience
  • Proficiency in SOAR (security orchestration & automation tools like Tines
  • Security credentials such as CISSP, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer
  • Prior projects or work experience in the Security GRC domain,
